Who We Are

Dr. Mark Davis is a native of Fairfax County. He became one of the country's first board certified specialists in Emergency Medicine in 1983. VMAC was created out of his mission to take a general medicine walk-in clinic and develop a place where the community could receive non-critical urgent and emergency care at the level that he could deliver as a skilled and experienced Emergency Physician practicing outside of a hospital environment. For the past 17 years, Dr. Davis has continued to promote the concept that high-level emergency and urgent care for non-critical illness and injury can be delivered in a community-based setting. In addition, Dr. Davis has developed innovative cost and time-saving services in the areas of non-surgical injury care and work related injuries and illnesses.

After repeated requests by patients for VMAC to offer Primary Care, Dr. Davis hired Ms. Cheryl Zimmerman, a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner in late 2007. She has 6 years of experience in both Primary Care and Urgent Care, as well as more than 25 years experience in the nursing profession. As an NP, Cheryl has built a reputation as a caring, knowledgeable professional who is capable of treating minor emergencies in urgent care as well as illnesses such as hypertension and diabetes in primary care. She has a particular interest in natural and integrative medicine, including bio-identical hormone therapy.

Karen Bodolay, Office Manager, joined VMAC in August of 2007. With over 5 years of workers compensation and primary care experience in Denver, CO, she brought knowledge and experience to help support the providers and staff of VMAC.
